:(!

I liked the first version a lot better, even though the preloader was a little glitched. The animal noises made it so much funnier -- even though the screeching was a little annoying -- and just having the music by itself doesn't fit nearly as well. It's still a good animation, but whereas it was amazing and hilarious before, now it's just "good".

I forwarded the original to quite a few people, too, and had it on my favourites list. I wish you hadn't deleted it. Oh, well.

artichoke responds:

:(

I'm sorry. I deleted it because some stuff screwed up. When I was going to re-upload it, I asked some of my friends what they prefered, and they liked it silent better.

But thank you!

Cool.

Considering that yesterday, your inbox was empty, today's offerings were surprisingly good. I was worried desperation would lead to bad toons, but that didn't really happen.

Sinista's contribution was hilarious and really, really well animated. That'd make a good movie on its own... the Star Tank ravaging Newgrounds with its magic ass-ravaging power. AngryStudent's Clock contribution was well done, too... not much to it but it's cool to see a Clock rocking that hard. PsychoticStar's offering had a funny intro, and the movie was... uhm... riveting. Unique audio on that one. Badger's movies was, as always, great, although there's a glitch in the audio that runs the Looney Toons intro into his submission as well. Otherwise, it was beautiful.

Congratulations to all who contributed. Can't wait to see the next one.

thankzz

What wasted potential. :(

Oh my gosh. This was such a hilarious flash that was entirely and utterly ruined by the sound quality. Honestly, I almost voted to blam it when that preloader started playing a Phil Collins loop that I was forced to listen to the whole time your movie loaded. How annoying!

Then the movie started and it was okay... until the voice kicked in. Between the volume changes (way too quiet, then way too loud, then back to quiet), the pops of breath against the microphone and the lack of enthusiasm from the speaker, that voice managed to ruin the entire thing for me.

Otherwise, this was hilarious! The animation was great, the story line was really funny, and the timing and continuity was fine. Loved the use of Twisted Sister in there. Funny stuff.

Seriously, your movie is awesome. But, dear God, re-record that audio. Please. Now.

4/10 overall, but would have been 9/10 had the audio been better and had that preloader been quiet.

Nice submission.

I enjoyed this one! It was definitely long enough, and you obviously put some effort into it. Funny story line, although it seemed like you might've made it up a little as you went along. :)

The voices seemed a little slow, and you're right, the sync was off just a little bit. Did you set your audio to stream? That should fix the syncing problems and make it so you don't have to insert extra play buttons in the middle of your flash. If nothing else, at least change them to "next" buttons or something so they seem quite so out of place.

Otherwise, this was good, and I'm glad I got the chance to see it. Happy Clock Day!

GuitarBrdArounO responds:

thx, but yea... Everything was streamed...
I tried everything, and I asked everybody, but nobody knew how to fix it, im gonna make an extended version, and submit it some day other than clock day

Beautiful.

I love this. Animutations are awesome anyway, and a CLOCK DAY animutation is perfect. I love the flagrant system error at the end, too... another sbemail joke that cracks me up every time I watch this.

Funny lyrics, and a close enough match to make it make sense. The timing was perfect, and I really liked the TV-channel scene change setup. Nice touch.

10/10, 5/5. Happy Clock Day.

KKyuubi responds:

Thank you! I've really had alot of fun today on Clock Day, I don't think I could win one of the XBOX 360's with it, but still...

I did the flagrant system error thing just because I couldn't think of anything else that would get too boring during the 2nd cycle of the end chorus.

Also, that scene also does something not many Animutations do, using an external sound effect!

*laugh*

I think I got lost in the alphabet on that one! I didn't see your thread, nor did I vote for the BP points. I voted 5 because:

1. It was a funny movie.
2. It was well animated.
3. It was a good Clock Day movie that showed effort.
4. The music was catchy.
5. It's by Binary Clawk, which is synonymous with 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Nice job, dude. :)

BinaryClock responds:

Heh. Thanks.

Everything a great flash should be.

Wow. Especially considering that this was a last minute thing, I'm truly impressed with this flash. The animation was beautiful, as were the graphics, the script was funny and well written but random at the same time, and there were explosions! Can't go wrong with explosions.

Excellent work. I don't believe you really did all this in a day, though. :)

5'd.

Creatus responds:

I did, one day exactly, with hardly any sleep and non-stop caffein powered genius.

It's been done.

Suggestions:

Your flash needs a preloader. On the Newgrounds Flash Portal page, there's a link right below the "Submit" button that says, "GET NG LOADERS N' STUFF!" Click that link to download a .FLA with a preloader in it. Copy and paste the first frame of that into your animation, and you'll have a preloader, complete with a start button.

Your file size was really large, most likely because you did not compress your sound. To learn how to optimize your audio, click the "LEARN FLASH" link below the "submit" button on the portal page, then click "audio optimization" -- it's near the top of the tutorials section.

There was no animation whatsoever in this flash. Consider learning to animate to make your movies more interesting.

This flash had no background, so the action took place in a vast void of nothingness. Think about adding backgrounds to your next flash.

Hope that helps. Good luck with your next flash!

WirelessTaco responds:

Yeah thanks i just made this thing in about 10min for clock day. If it makes it through the portal im going to put the preloader on and optimize it. Thanks.

Nice job!

Good work on this! I liked the style and graphics a lot. The ending was interesting... not the typical NG fare. I like that track you used from GNR; always thought that'd be good background music for a flash.

One suggestion: I would've appreciated the option to just leave the quality set to high. I set it back to high for the auto-mediumed parts, and my computer didn't lag at all. It was a little distracting to see the quality changes in the corner... if you're going to do it automatically, it might be best to do it quietly and not take away from your flash presentation in the process.

But, otherwise, this was great work, and I'm looking forward to seeing what's next from you! Happy Clock Day!

NinoGrounds responds:

Thanks for the very helpful review.

Happy Clock Day, the best of 'em all! :)

Beautiful!

BBQ, you never cease to amaze me with your dedication to creating stunning, epic flash movies. This was no exception. Beautiful graphic art, amazing, moving lines, and incredible special effects. I'm astounded.

10/10, and fived, of course. Happy Clock Day.

Bbqbeefburgerman responds:

Yup.

Happy clockday to you too.

WHAT.
