Decent first effort...

It's an okay first flash, but it's really just a demonstration, or maybe even a glorified test. A better way to present this might've been to do it as a tutorial, showing others how you did each effect.

I did like the effects you did, for whatever it's worth, and the soundtrack was nice, too. I think the best of your effects -- or at least the most original -- was the one in the easter egg, actually. Nice job with that... you could build that one into a character and do something with it if you wanted.

Good luck with your future flash work!

Thank you for the tips. Funny enough, I have a whole bunch of characters lying around, halfway animated, etc. I was originally going to make a movie with nothing but lamps dancing to techno music with all these crazy things in the background. I am also creating a character motion tutorial for anyone who is interested!

Nice start!

I wish you'd finished this. Well, the stick part of it, at least. The seizure part at the beginning was almost boring; the music dragged it down pretty badly. The stick part was much better. I liked the voice-overs and the action on that section.

Both sections felt very abrupt and unfinished, though, and it was hard for me to give this any kind of a decent score overall because of that. Lots of potential here, though.

2/5, 4/10 because it's incomplete.

Responses to reviews are always appreciated. :)

well, I knew I wasnt gonna drag myself to finishing it... Kinda an old project... So I for some reason, added that seizure part...

well

I liked the style of graphics a lot. The soundtrack was nice, too. I do wish you'd gone with voice acting instead of the word bubbles, though, and I also wish you'd made it longer. Tell a few jokes next time instead of just one!

I did vote to protect it, anyway, and I hope you'll do more... but longer ones. :)

(I appreciate responses just as much as you appreciate reviews!)

These are ment to be "one liner" jokes. I had thought about just making a whole collection of all my old good ones it's a comic i used to do.

ROFL

"Lol, frogger." That was hilarious.

Actually, this whole movie was hilarious. One of the best Mario parodies I've seen on this site. Really, really good sprite animation here -- flawless, from what I could tell, and the sound was appropriate, well timed, and nicely done. Great skits, too... all of them were quite funny, and they were quick but not too quick.

This was an excellently done flash. The only thing I could suggest is to spend a little more time making the credits pretty and the sound quality for the credits a little better. You worked hard on this, and I think you should take pride in making an excellent credits sequence and letting your audience know who's behind this amazing work.

That's nitpicking, I know. I had to try really hard to find anything to improve on in this. Great job!

(Responses are always appreciated, enjoyed, printed, framed, and kept for all time in a heavily guarded underground museum in Nevada. Well, no. But I do like responses.)

Ahaha glad you liked my ideas and flash ;) thanks buddy. lol your review is funny at the end :) Thanks bro

wow.

I liked this movie quite a lot, and I'm definitely interested in seeing more episodes. The semi-slideshow effect was cool, and made for a comic-book feel throughout. The graphics were very well done, too. The only thing about it was the lack of animation when the characters were walking. Please, either leave them standing still and don't move them, or make the legs move so it actually looks like they're walking.

Otherwise, this was amazing, and a great first episode to go with a solid story line. Good job, and I'll be looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks for the review! Wow, everyone seems to notice the characters 'lack of movement', which I understand, but having too much animation would have defeated the purpose of having an animated comic book...constant movement would have ranked it as just a regular cartoon, which was not what I was going for. Thanks for your review, it's highly appreciated!

Pretty well done...

Nicely done. I liked the graphic style, and some of the scenes were really funny. It seemed like some of the panning was done a little too slowly; I know you were trying to make each scene fit the song lyric but some of it just felt *too* slow. Good matching to the music, though, and the timing was good throughout.

And yeah, it looked like Jesus in the movie, but since Jesus and God are supposed to be the same, it made sense to me and I didn't even think about it while I was watching the movie. So, no complaints there.

Nice job. I enjoyed this one.

good for u :D:D if u know runescape, u could also watch my newbiescape series :D

Beautiful!

Wow, it's an honour to be able to give this a 5 while it's in judgement. Seriously.

Beautiful work here, as usual. Your animation was tied quite well into a great song, with cute but appropriate graphics. The timing was synced quite well, too. Great ending, too... I guess the dinosaurs got what they deserved, eh?

5/5, 10/10, and you were already on my favourites so I can't add you again... but I would if I could. :P

Glad to hear you enjoyed it, Right now it's got the lowest rating out of all of LD & My flashes, including Snakes on a Plane (which was made in pretty much 4 hours total) which is sad for me, but I don't really mind.

I've had my 15 minutes in the spotlight, and I'm going to work on improving myself as an animator instead of fishing for the next giant hit.

I liked this...

Nice job. I love these old-school style silent movies, and making one with le-- I mean, bricks -- was awesome. Great soundtrack, easy to read titles, and good, clear animation -- although you could have animated the movement and walking a bit more clearly.

Good effort, though, and I voted for it to pass.

Favourites, eh? Okay, I'll add this to my favourites if you respond to this review. Fair trade? :P

Sticky responds:

yes...

*laugh* Awesome!

Great collection of shorts. My only complaint is that I wish you'd done more of them and made this longer. The Bohemian Rhapsody parody was great, and almost spit my drink all over the keyboard when I saw that ATWI80D part. So funny and such a great tribute. I want to print that out and have it framed.

You easily got my 5 for this.

I say the same thing about reviews! Thnak you kindly for one. Glad you enjoyed the flick. I proemise, if I do get around to a next one, it will be longer. This was just an afternoon of boredom...

really funny.

This series cracks me up, and this episode was no exception. I love the computer voice... it's hilarious, and a nice change from the typical Speakonia stuff. The post analysis and addition of the audio track was awesome; it looks like you put some thought into this episode. You added some more animation to this, too, with the panning back and forth. Great music on the intro and outtro, of course.

Great job, and I can't wait to see the next episode!

QwertyBoi responds:

I'm glad you thought that I put some effort into this. It usually takes me a few hours to "analyze" the persons profile and posts. :

Glad you enjoyed. :D
