Amazing.

Really good work. What made the most difference to me was the quality of sound here. The voice acting and timing were both perfect. I also really liked the transitions between scenes, especially when you added something humourous to them. Very good quality sprite animation, and a funny story line. Nice job!

Great flash!

Just how I always imagined chess would be, if it were to be brought to life. Your character drawings are amazing, and the way those characters envision their world is incredible. I loved the butterfly/bird transition, and the way the smoke effects carried over was really neat, too. The ending was a surprise, for sure, but also done well. The whole thing had a slightly Tim Burtonish feel to it that really appealed to me. The music was a perfect fit, too.

Excellent work. I can't wait to see what you've got in store for your next masterpiece.

Better. Much better.

I saw the earlier version, and this was a lot better. I do still think you could have added some more story line to it, but I liked the backgrounds and the little bit of story that you added to it. This is passable as a short, but it'd be even better if you'd go further with it. Maybe make it into a seagull killing spree, where the seagull kills everyone on the ship and then takes the wheel himself? Or something?

Oh, and the voice was still hard to hear and understand.

Good work on improving this, though.

still funny

This is classic. I love the mouth animation; it's so cheap, but hilarious *because* it's so cheap. The pictures and the song go really well together, and the timing is perfect. Great choice of pictures, too. ;)

Nice job.

Not so great...

Honestly, this could have been done a lot better. The animation was pretty poor quality, and the timing of the audio -- especially toward the end -- was nowhere near the stuff on screen. The audio had a good ten seconds left and the screen was already asking if I wanted to repeat the movie... not good. The graphics weren't so hot, either... you could have done a lot more with this.

I realize this is somewhat old, so I don't expect it to be fixed, but it's still sad that this wasn't done better.

*laugh* Funny!

That was really funny. Love the art; even years after the fact, it's still decent quality. It was funny to watch the dog's expressions. Cracked me up.

The bubble at the end was hilarious, too. Nice touch.

Nice!

Heh, that was amusing... nice play on "Uranus" with the butt-cheeks and the, uhm, volcano thing in the middle. Now *that* is an eruption I don't want to be around for. Didn't seem to bother the lil' happy people much, though. I like how the Sun keeps getting smaller and smaller... 'tis appropriate!

It's a shame we probably won't get to see Neptune and Pluto now. I was looking forward to the rest of the series.

Nice work, anyways.

Why the hell is everyone saying there will be no sunshine?!?!

Nice work.

It's great to finally see a flash from you! It's a shame that Sunshine got killed, but hopefully this will motivate us all to do something new and better.

I liked this one a lot. The black and white idea was novel, and I liked the blinkypops a lot! The sunbeams made a nice effect with the text, too. Of course, I loved the music. I'll miss hearing it, but it's for the best that this end now. The AS on the sun was good, too; lots of people don't pull it off the first time, and you did.

So, overall, this flash was great and I enjoyed watching it. Great Work! Responses are gladly appreciated. :)

Heh.

Beautiful Review my friend. Yeah, it's a shame that the Sunshine Crew has died. It was fun while it lasted though. I see you took my Response are gladly appreciated slogan in my reviews. Thanks for the nice review and here is your response. :)

Nice job!

This was really helpful! Although I've already figured out how to make things spin and run around in circles and such, this would definitely have helped me when I was learning, and I'm sure it'll help others. The directions were really well laid out and easy to follow, and the extra help on tweening was a nice touch. The friendly text and good humour made the tutorial a breeze to get through.

You could expand on this idea and make it into a Sunshine tutorial series if you wanted. "Sunshine: The Method Behind The Madness." :P

DrunkAlien responds:

Lawl. :P Thanks,Omgee! :)

hm.

Great story, but with all due respect, isn't this a tale that could -- and should -- have been told on the forums? A text-based slideshow hardly requires a Flash presentation to be told.

The music was nice, though, and quite appropriate, all things considered. ;) And it really *was* a great tale, sure to go down into the history of great Newgrounds adventures. 'Twas well-written, funny, and definitely worthwhile reading. But... we do have a forum for such things, and a barracks thread in which it would very likely be warmly welcomed.

If you'd animated something to go with this, it would have been a lot better. But, as it is, I can't justify a high vote for this one. Sorry.

(And welcome back.)

SlashFirestorm responds:

lol, I couldn't justify a high vote for it either. And I'm the one who made it! XD

Yeah, the music was by far the best. I originally intended to use the Savior music, but while I was hunting for it, I found this kick-ass extended version, and it's just so much more epic and awesome.

:yeah: I know, I suck at animating! And I'm lazy! Y'all pickin' on me, sigh...lol.

Thanks for the welcome-back-ness. For all I know, you're an EGB member...I haven't had time to look at the rosters yet, and as Barracks Recruitment Officer, I should probly get around to that... :-P
