Nice job.

9/11 was a terrible tragedy that upset me immensely when it happened, and I still very much respect and honour the memories of the people who died, BUT part of being an American is also respecting freedom of speech -- which includes the right to poke fun at serious subjects, even if sometimes people are offended.

I think you did a fine job on this movie. Honestly, I don't see how people were so bothered by it; it was mostly action scenes and a quick audio clip at the end that made the whole thing hilarious. Then again, I bothered to read the fine print, and I also admire a good joke, so whatever.

So, here's the breakdown:

Graphics: 9. You did an amazing job, especially considering that you did this in four hours. I do think you could have varied the scenes a bit more, but otherwise, you did a fine job.
Style: 9. You've got the balls to stand up for what you think is right -- in this case, your right to post a movie that an awful lot of people found offensive. And the movie definitely had style, too.
Sound: 10. The timing was perfect, and the sound was well matched to the film.
Violence: 2, for implied violence -- since no violence was ever actually *shown*.
Interactivity: 2. Play and replay. That's all that was necessary.
Humour: 8. The ending was hilarious -- and perfect.
Overall: 9. A good production that you obviously put some effort into, backed by solid courage and a good sense of humour. A little more variety in the scenes is all this would really need.

5/5, 9/10. Excellent work.

orb responds:

Thanks man, you get the best review of the year award :D

Holy shit.

Insulinpump, I can't give this anything other than a 10. That was the most hilarious Pube Muppit episode ever. Like, ever. Probably the best Steve Irwin tribute I've seen yet, too, actually.

I laughed my ass off at this. It was well animated, the gags were perfect, and it was even tasteful... well, at least, as tasteful as a PM flash could ever possibly be.

Jeff is the biggest douchebag ever. Should've been him that got killed if anyone had to. I mean, I wouldn't wish stingray death on anyone, but Steve > (Jeff * 3273280809).

Best line ever: "You cannot kill Steve Irwin!"

10/10, 5/5, faved. You win.

InsulinpumpClock responds:

THANK YOU! Ha hahhaha. Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it. You're becoming my favorite clock friend. Yes and if karma was truely real it would have been Jeff.

It was okay, but not great.

Seems like you kind of rushed this one. The intro was really choppy, although the play screen was decent. The sprites were really small, and the animation on them didn't flow well at all. Mario was standing in mid-air during his first scene, too.

Also, the whole movie was really short. On the "choose a winner" screen, Luigi and Mario switched places on the selection part, which was a little odd. Neither ending was at all interesting, and how come nothing happened when Luigi got the mushroom that they'd been fighting over?

Overall, it just felt really rushed, and I think you could've put a lot more effort into this. Sorry.

Everything's great but the sound!

That was hilarious, but almost every male voice in this was way, way too quiet. The female voice actress was fine.

Graphics were good and the story line was hilarious. Really, the only thing that kept this from being a 9 or a 10 in my book was the guys' voices being too quiet.

Hope you'll do more with this!

Austineo responds:

I don't get it, I listen to this on my laptop, and everybody sounds just fine. But yeah, I tried to quiet everybody down 'cause the mono quality really sounded bad, but I couldn't exactly fix it easily. I dunno, I might edit it pretty soon if I get the chance.

That sync issue...

The sync issue that you mentioned (due to "intensive graphics") isn't because of the graphics. It's because you have the sound set to run as an event, not as "stream". If you change that one thing, you sound will be synced.

The graphics could do with some improvement and a litle more variety -- some of the scenes were reused directly and that kind of took away from the whole thing. That timing issue hurt it a lot, too. Overall, though, this is a decent video.

AnniHilatE responds:

yeh i knew about the major issue, but i think i might have to reupload it with the changes you mentioned.
thx

*laugh*

Wow. You get mad humour points for making a really funny sequel. I remember seeing the first edition of this on Clock Day, and actually, when I started watching this one, I thought I'd made a mistake or you'd resubmitted the same thing or something. Nice way to turn the story line around and make it into an anti-clock-day flash.

So, the breakdown:

Graphics: 7. Could've been a little better, but I already know that's your style -- and I'm no amazing artist myself so I didn't mark down too much for that.
Style: 10. It's Bahamut-, so it's got style. Duh.
Sound: 6. Speakonia, and not much else. Some dramatic music would make this a little cooler.
Violence: 7. Although there wasn't any explicit violence, the Power of B was invoked, and that implies some serious violence, if I say so myself.
Interactivity: 3. Play and replay.
Humour: 10. I seriously laughed way too much over this.
Overall: 8. It's simple, and it does what it needs to. Especially as a completely unexpected sequel, this was quite good.

kinggila responds:

Don't worry, I'd never submit an exact same flash, unless I accidently click on the wrong flash document.

Yes, it's me, Bahamut, I have style! Dramatic music, heh. B is so violent. And yes, this sequel was unexpected. Thanks for reviewing Omgee. :)

Gee damn.

Dude. Your animation is amazing. Your drawing skills are incredible. You story lines are ridiculously good. I'm in complete awe at what you can do in such a short period of time.

Like I said on the BBS, you're definitely destined for greatness. Keep it up.

5/5, 10/10.

Great, but way too short.

This was really good clay animation! Nice little series of random skits that went well with the music -- and then abruptly ended without any warning just as it was getting good.

If you'd made this longer, and maybe added a preloader and a replay button, it would have been a lot better. As it is, it's passable, but it's nothing really special.

I hope you'll keep working on this one and at least finish one verse of the song!

Nice job, but missing something.

This is beautiful, and you get 10/10 for the effort you must've put into this work. The photography is splendid, the setting is gorgeous, and the way you put the scenes together is nearly flawless.

Still, I was left feeling like something was missing. A plot, maybe? Character development? A longer film? I don't know; it just feels like something that is this well put together should have more substance to it. It's beautiful imagery, but little more -- and I can't believe that the author of such an amazing work wouldn't be able to come up with a solid story line to match this piece.

So:

Graphics: 9. There were a couple of holes where I felt like you could have added a frame or two, but overall, this was beautiful.
Style: 6. Beautiful work... but it just felt like it was only skin-deep.
Sound: 10. Nice job there.
Violence: 5. No actual violence was done, although there were a lot of close calls -- but I didn't hold this score against you.
Interactivity: 1. Not really very much, but again, I didn't hold it against you.
Humour: 0. Not funny, but it wasn't supposed to be, so again, I didn't hold this against you.

Overall: 8. With a solid story line, this would have been a 10, but as it is now, it's a live-action stick fight, devoid of feeling or purpose.

I really hope you develop this a bit more. It's too good not to get the attention it deserves.

Xaroxantu-Zero responds:

Thank you for your detailed response! Indeed, I fully admit that I could've inserted an actual plotline that would make this my masterpiece, but given the tight timelimit (School is coming!), I could only provide the actual story at my site (coming soon).

The second part of the film will set up a plot, which will be told in words.

Nice job!

I really liked this! It's a funny song, and you animated it well with hilarious drawings and smooth animation. My only problem with this was with the sound quality; it's such a funny song that it was sad to hear it plagued by static and scratchiness. The file size is small enough that you could afford to use a little less compression and make the audio a bit clearer.

Otherwise, this was great!

Astropuff responds:

Cruddy crap crap. I've watched the video about 50 times and I never noticed that static buzz on the drums before. So thanks, I've uploaded a higher quality version.

WHAT.
